I hereby certify that John Flack, Captain in the late 4th Veteran Batallion in His Britannic Majesty's Service, was buried in the Cisnetiene de l'Est at Paris and entered in the Register kept at the British Embassy the 31st of October 1821. Marianne Angeique Flack came this 22nd Day of November 1822 before me William Beckett Magistrate of Bow Street, and made oath that she was lawfully married on 16th day of November 1808 to John Flack, late a Captain in the Fourth Royal Veteran Battalion , and that she has no Pension, Allowance or Provision from Government. We do hereby certify that to the best of our knowledge Marianne Angelique Flack was the lawful wife of Captian John Flack late of the 4th Royal Veteran Battalion who died at Paris on the 29 October 1821 of a Rheumatic affection and we do humbly recommend her as a deserving Object of His Majesty's Royal Bounty.
