      Mentions his wife Annie, his sons Henry and Jeremiah, his daughters Anne and Katherine, grandchildren John (son of his son John deceased), Robert, John and William Flack (sons of his son Robert), Henry Eve son of his daughter Anne, William, John and Mary Poole children of his daughter Mary. He also leaves his daughter in law Elizabeth Flack, widow of his son John, one guinea "to buy her a ring". He appoints his "friend and cousin" Mr John Rons (or Rous) of Bishop Stratford (sic) to be overseer of this his Will and his wife Annie as the sole executrix.

    3. [S1445] Thorley St James the Great Hertfordshire MIs.
      Here lyeth the body of Mr John Flack tenant of Thorley Hall who departed this life the 19th day of Decemb 1717 in the 65th year of his age. In testimony of his regard to so honest a man his landlord Moses Raper esq hath caused this stone to be set up.

      In these two graves are depositied the remains of Mr Robert Flack and Mary his wife and also near the place Mr John Flack father of the said Robert. This stone indended only to indicate where the above mentioned bodies are buried. Refers the reader for more particular information to two stones erected against the church wall by Moses and Matthew Raper esqr whose testimonials of respect to their memory there inscribed render a further inscription here superfluous.
