"Pete" Espich, 84 co-owner of Kozy Kourt Inc. mobile home residential area and former Rockcreek Twp. trustee, died at 9:15 a.m. Saturday at his residence in Uniondale. He retired in 1974 from General Electric Co. after 35 years. Mr. Espich was co-owner with his son, State Rep. Jeff Espich of Uniondale, of Kozy-Kourt. He was active in the Wells County Republican Party and the Parlor City Country Club and served for 55 years as a member of the Uniondale Volunteer Fire Department. He was a member also of the United Methodist Church at Uniondale. Mr. Espich was born at Zanesville June 10, 1913 to Walter and Effie Meeks Espich. His marriage at South Whitley on June 26,1936 was to Helen M. Keller, who died Nov. 22, 1982. In addition to his son, State Rep. Jeff Espich, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Stephen (Marcia K.) Gabot of Grabill; two brothers, Arnold of Louisville, Ky., and Ed of Markle; a sister, Marjorie Fisher of Kentland; and three grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Uniondale United Methodist Church with Rev. Lloyd Miller officiating. Burial will be in Horeb Cemetery. Calling hours are from 2 to 9 p.m. today at Elzey and Haggard Funeral Home's Ossian Chapel and for one hour at the church prior to services. Memorials to the church.
