      High Point - Henry Hazel Clodfelter, 95, of the Presbyterian Home and formerly of 406 Model Farm Road, went to be with the Lord on May 17, 2000.
      He was born Feb. 1, 1905, in Randolph County, a son of Edward and Mary Parrish Clodfelter. He was a resident of High Point the majority of his life and was a retired dairy farmer and building contractor.
      He attended Catawba College. He was a member of Archdale United Methodist Church, where he served on various committees and was a member of the Adult Fellowship Sunday School Class.
      He was a member of the Archdale-Trinity Lions Club and had 43 years of perfect attendance. He received the 'Lion of the Year' award and other awards. He was an avid gardener and shared with all his friends, and also shared bushels of pecans. He married Selma Elder, who preceded him in death. He later married the former Mary 'Bea' Blankenship, who also preceded him in death. He will be remembered for his smile and will be missed by all those who loved and cared for him, especially the nurses at Presbyterian Home. He also was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
      Surviving are his sister, Veda Clodfelter; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Elizabeth Sechrest.
      Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at Archdale United Methodist Church by the Rev. Mary John Dye and the Rev. Harold Shives. Burial will be in Springfield Friends Meeting
